R type Abott Coupe 1954

This very rare motorcar was ordered new by HRH the Maharajah of Jaipur in 1954 and comes with original English logbook to prove it! It is the only automatic 4 speed version of all 12 Abbott Coupé's. After several other owners the car was bought by our client who decided the car should be properly restored. The restoration was performed professionally from the chassis upwards and took 3 years. Restoration was finished in 2004. All documentation of the restoration (costing some 230.000! Euro's) is available and every item restored is photographed (a few thousand photo's!). The car is finished in dark blue with dark red leather interior. It has seen careful use since and is still in superb condition. The car forms part of a large collection and has been well maintained as expected. It comes with Swiss or Dutch EC registration depending on buyer's wishes. A fine opportunity for a connoisseur!
