Info wanted on this unique Fiat 1100 Sport !
Allemano had a small coachbuilding company in Turin, Italy. He worked out and handmade the designs from among others Michelotti and he made this beautifully crafted handmade sportscar. It was built in 3 different versions as known to us from old pictures. All with different bodies and details inside and out and thus each is unique. The body shows strong resemblance with Allemano’s Maserati A6 G 2000 coupé from which he only made 21 cars.

HISTORY
In the fifties Fiat made many standard saloons in big numbers but next to that several carrozzière made fantastic one-off cars and also limited series cars mostly on the most sportive version of the model. This Allemano coupé is one of those unique small sportscars made on the fastest car Fiat had in the 1100 cc class.
Many races and rallies where entered in the nimble Fiat 1100 Sport and later in this much improved and faster 1100 Turismo Veloce.
The car mentioned by us was made in 1954 and was specified in Oro Metallizato (gold metallic).(We are not sure if this car was only first sold and registered in 1962 as it has the old correct Italian logbook but it says first registered 1962 !? (on the paperwork it says car reregistered but with the same registration turned round ?!)) Anyway it was produced in 1954.
From its first known registration in 1962 it had 1 owner only, a Mr Alderotti Adolfo (born in 1908!) who kept the car until 2001 when he passed away. In his name the car was registered on 19 january 1962 with registration Pistoia (Tuscany). It still has the original registration ! In 1988 he had the car inspected for the Automotoclub Storico Italiano (ASI) by the technical inspection committee. He was assigned the gold certificate of the ASI. Competition history is not yet known to us so far although the car has a key ring from a very old Mille Miglia.

CONDITION
The car was specified in Oro Metallizato (gold metallic) as it still is today. Nowhere are any traces of a different colour it might have had in the past. Interior was retrimmed in darkred vinyl but the new upholstery was placed over the old darkred vinyl which still can be seen under the current vinyl ! Carpets have been retrimmed unfortunatly in incorrect wool/polyester material but correctly with red piping.
The bodywork has been resprayed in the early 80’s by Mr Adolfo and is still in good old condition The bodywork is very sound with all original panels and excellent original floors still not welded as they carry the original wafer pattern. A small rust bulb can be seen on the left front part of the sill and also one rustbulb on the left door where the alloy gets in contact with the steel frame. The car has excellent original panel fit.
The rear tail lenses might have been changed due to Italian legislation in the early sixties from 1 single taillight to Ferrari 250 style 2 coloured lenses taillights. Interior is very nice as said before and with correct unmessed with dashboard with lovely art deco instruments (to 180 km/h!) and many all original switches and the Allemano badge in the middle of the dashboard. The window winders have a beautiful darkred bakelite material on them. Chrome is very good original and the windscreen rubbers even have the original chromed turned material in them !
